The TERL program for respiratory care therapists will remain in place, without change, through March 31, 2023. INFORMATION FOR RESPIRATORY CARE THERAPISTS Your TERL will automatically expire if you receive a plenary license, if your application for a plenary license is denied, or on April 1, 2023-whichever comes first. You will be considered to have filed a complete application for licensure in New Jersey provided that you submit a complete application and pay the required application fee on or before August 31, 2022. The date of notification of denial of an application for a plenary license in New Jersey or The date of issuance of a New Jersey license on Augwill qualify for the “bridge program,” and will be authorized to continue practicing in New Jersey under the TERL until the earliest of: Any TERL holder who files a complete application for a plenary license in New Jersey (using the electronic application process available on the board websites) by 11:59 p.m. To that end, the Division is authorizing a “bridge program” to plenary licensure available to all TERL holders. The Division continues to urge all TERL holders who wish to continue providing health care in the State of New Jersey after Augto apply for a plenary license in the State of New Jersey.
Any continued practice on or after Septemby any TERL holder who has not filed an application for plenary licensure pursuant to the “bridge program” will constitute the unlicensed practice of your profession in the State of New Jersey and may result in civil or criminal penalties. Effective September 1, 2022, TERL holders (except for respiratory care therapists) must refrain from engaging in any further practice in the State of New Jersey, unless participating in the “bridge program” described below. Effective August 1, 2022, no new applications will be accepted.Īll practitioners holding a TERL on Augwill remain eligible to continue practicing under the TERL through August 31, 2022. With the exception of respiratory care therapists, new applications for the TERL program for Group 2 health care practitioners will be accepted only through July 31, 2022. This notice is to advise that the Division of Consumer Affairs (the “Division”) will be discontinuing the Temporary Emergency Reciprocity Licensure Program on August 1, 2022, for all classes of Group 2 health care practitioners, with the sole exception of respiratory care therapists.
